Best Kept Village

The Scouts have been out tonight picking up litter around the village tonight, we are doing our part in the community and we are in it to win it .

Tom (left) and James (right) found an empty can of energy drink, we’ll need our energy after all this litter picking.
The girls were happy to get their hands dirty too, some seriously heavy rubbish bags after this. Well done.
We even found an old traffic cone hanging out of the hedge.

Fox’s Biscuit Factory

We hope you and your Scout/s have had a nice break over half term, Scouts start again this Thursday (28th) with a tour of the Fox’s biscuit factory in Uttoxeter. Please note that it is an earlier start of 6pm at the Scout Hut or 6.25pm outside Fox’s gates in Uttoxeter if that is easier. We will be back at the Scout Hut 8.45pm.

Fox’s have asked if it would be ok to take photos of our trip. We are very lucky, as tours are not something they usually do, and they would like to be able to share our trip with the rest of the workforce, with the new policies in place photos need parental consent, no names will be used with the photographs and are only being use internally, then please sign the attached form and bring it with you. We will have some spare on Thursday night if you are unable to print. Please also remember to bring your activity form too.
Full uniform will be needed plus clean shoes, due to the large range of shoe sizes the factory are unable to provide safety shoes for us all, so instead they have asked if all scouts and leaders can wear clean shoes (ideally clean black school shoes as it fits with out uniform, please try to avoid the brightly colour trainers)
